"You're very quiet tonight," Will Riker commented to his wife Deanna as
she took their dinner from the replicator. "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine," Deanna replied and smiled at him, but Will wasn't convinced.
He was sure she was lying, yet she looked all right. In fact, she looked
damned good.

Completely aware of the direction her husband's thoughts had taken,
Deanna smiled secretively. "Eat your dinner," she ordered, but again the
sly smile played over her lips. This time, Will thought he knew why. She
wanted him as much as he wanted her, but she wanted the evening to be
perfect, with no interruptions like his stomach rumbling at an
inappropriate moment, as it had on one famous occasion.

And so began an easy seduction for two, although Will was still sure
that Deanna was playing the game with loaded dice. "How about some
champagne?" he asked, kissing her neck as he cleared the table.

"Later," Deanna purred and slid her hands under his uniform top. Will
immediately forgot about the champagne. Within moments, they were both
naked and fell onto the bed.

Some time later, Will smiled at Deanna as she gazed at him closely. "Hi,
beautiful," he offered. "What aren't you telling me?"

Again, that smile appeared. It was mysterious and somehow more womanly
than he had ever seen before. She took his hand and placed it on her
stomach. Will frowned. "De?"

"Meet your child, Will," she whispered and suddenly, Will couldn't see
for the tears of joy that were spilling down his cheeks. It was the best
news, the news they had longed to hear since the day they married.
